Is Bilify right for your business?

Bilify is online invoicing and billing software built first for businesses in North Macedonia. This page helps you decide, in a few minutes, whether it fits the way you work, and tells you plainly what it does not do yet.

Who Bilify is for#

Bilify suits businesses that issue invoices to other businesses or to individuals and want the Macedonian document set, VAT math and numbering handled for them:

• Freelancers and sole traders who send a handful of invoices a month and want correct documents without a spreadsheet.
• Small and growing companies (ДООЕЛ, ДОО) that invoice regularly, track expenses and need more than one person working in the same company.
• Agencies and service businesses that send offers, convert them to invoices, bill clients every month and want clients to see and pay their invoices online.
• Accountants and bookkeepers who look after several companies: one login can belong to several companies and switch between them.

The app and every document are available in Macedonian and English. Macedonian is the default.

What Bilify does today#

• Macedonian documents: Фактура, Про-Фактура, Понуда, Авансна Фактура and Фактура Член 32 (reverse charge), with the VAT calculation and legal notes each type needs. See Macedonian fiscal compliance.
• Numbering series that assign the number at the moment of issue, so you never skip or repeat a number.
• Issued documents are locked. After you issue a document, its lines, totals and client details are frozen.
• Clients and a client portal where your clients see their invoices, offers and payments and download documents.
• Recurring invoices for monthly or yearly billing.
• Products and services with stock tracking that updates when you issue an invoice.
• Expenses, one-off or recurring, with receipts attached.
• Reports (financial summary, VAT summary, document and expense exports, stock movements) as CSV, Excel or PDF, run on demand or on a schedule.
• Online card payments through Stripe Connect.
• Contracts with electronic signatures confirmed by a one-time code sent by email.
• Team roles: owner, admin, accountant and employee, each with its own permissions.
• Employees and a shift calendar.
• REST API, webhooks and an AI assistant connector (MCP) on the higher packages.
• UJP e-Faktura integration (see the limits below).

What Bilify does not do#

• No fiscal cash register or point of sale. Bilify does not issue fiscal receipts (фискални сметки) and does not connect to a fiscal cash register. If you sell over the counter to consumers, you still need your fiscal device.
• No bookkeeping. There is no general ledger, chart of accounts, VAT return filing or payroll. Your accountant keeps your books; Bilify gives them clean documents and exports.
• e-Faktura is not connected to UJP's production system yet. The integration is built (sending, statuses, storno and correction, received invoices) and runs today against a built-in simulator. The production connection is not live because UJP has not published its production service yet.
• Credit notes and debit notes (Книжно одобрение, Книжно задолжение) are not available yet. Today you correct an issued invoice by cancelling it, or through storno and correction in e-Faktura.
• No import from other software. There is no file import for clients, products or old invoices. See Moving from another system.
• PDFs come from the browser. Download PDF opens a print-ready page that you save as a PDF from your browser's print dialog.
• No bank feed or bank reconciliation. Payments are recorded on each invoice, or automatically when a client pays online.
• Employee attendance (check-in and check-out) is not built. Shifts and the weekly calendar are.

Frequently asked questions#

Can I use Bilify if I am not VAT-registered?#

Yes. You choose the tax rate on every line, and the 0% rate is available. Ask your accountant which rate and wording your invoices need.

Can I try Bilify before paying?#

Yes. Your first company gets a 7-day free trial when you choose a package. The trial applies once per account: companies you add later, and a company that subscribes again, start without one.

Does Bilify work outside North Macedonia?#

The Macedonian document set, tax rates and the e-Faktura module are built for Macedonian companies. Other countries are added as configuration over time, and e-Faktura is only offered to Macedonian companies.

Can several people work in the same company?#

Yes, depending on the package. Starter has one member. Business allows up to five members. Pro and Enterprise have no member limit. Each member gets a role that decides what they can see and do.

Can I manage more than one company?#

Yes. One account can create or join several companies and switch between them. Each company has its own package, data and numbering.

Do my clients need an account?#

No. Clients receive your documents by email. If you give them portal access, they sign in to the portal with a link sent to their email address, without a password.

Is my data safe?#

Each company's data is kept separate, every user signs in with a verified email address, and important changes are recorded in an activity log. See Security and data protection.
